Hear me out on this one… I know there are a TON of cookie recipes out there, but these are my absolute favorite for so many reasons. The secret ingredient in this recipe is a box of pudding mix (we will get into flavors shortly), and it creates the perfect, soft and fluffy chocolate chip cookie every time! I promise this will become your go-to cookie recipe for get togethers!

I got this recipe from my best friend’s mom back in high school, which means I’ve been making these cookies for over 15 years. They are so easy and I am almost always asked for the recipe when I bring them to parties. I look forward to Christmas time each year so I can switch up the pudding flavor and make a holiday themed batch! My husband absolutely LOVES the banana chocolate chip cookies.

Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

Easy and delicious chocolate chip cookie recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 oz
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 bag chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • In a large bowl or stand mixer, mis the butter, sugars, pudding mix, eggs and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • In a small bowl, mix together flour and baking soda
  • Slowly add the flour/banking soda to the wet mixture. Mix on low speed until well mixed.
  • Add tablespoon sized dough balls to an un-greased cookie sheet and bake for 9-10 minutes. They may not look fully cooked, but do not overbake!
  • Remove and let cool for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
