My husband and I go back and forth on what our “favorite” summer-time drink recipe truly is, but this frozen margarita is brought up often. We absolutely love the tequila & lime combination that is so full of flavor. He enjoys this margarita recipe with Patron silver and I prefer the Coconut flavored 1800 brand. Both are absolutely to die for though, so don’t get hung up on flavor. Just use whatever tequila you have on hand or can find at the store.

Ingredients

These are all very easy to find ingredients at just about any grocery/liquor store. You can use store bought lime juice if that’s all you have at home, but trust me.. using freshly squeezed limes give a much better flavor.

How to Make Frozen Margarita

  1. Pour all of the ingredients into your blender
  2. Blend the ingredients until you reach a smooth, slushy-like consistency
  3. Pour into a salt rimmed glass and enjoy!

I recommend using a high-speed blender. I’ve used many different styles and brands of blenders for my drinks over the years, and nothing compares to the Vitamix blender. Yes, it is absolutely an investment but this thing is so powerful and lasts forever. If you don’t have a Vitamix, no worries. You just want a blender that can effectively blend the ice into that smooth slushy consistency that you want in a frozen drink. And no, not all blenders can achieve that unfortunately.
