Honey Garlic Chicken

This Honey Garlic Chicken is the perfect weeknight meal. Using just 3 simple ingredients, this recipe can be thrown together in less than 20 minutes and is one of the tastiest meals I’ve made!

This recipe is a new one that we’ve been trying recently, and it turns out SO good every time. My husband even said that this is on his TOP 5 LIST (and that’s saying something)! You can use chicken breast or chicken thighs, depending on what your family prefers or what is in the fridge. I personally prefer chicken breast, but hubby prefers chicken thighs. Marriage is all about compromise, right? So we alternate each time we make this!

Honey Garlic Chicken Ingredients

That’s right! This recipe not only takes less than 20 minutes to prepare, but it only uses 3 ingredients that you probably already have in the house. I am all about saving time and convenience. Another plus is that my husband volunteers to cook this meal because it is so easy! Win win!

How is it made?

You are going to start out by generously seasoning the chicken with salt & pepper. We have been using our new automatic gravity powered salt & pepper grinders from Amazon, and absolutely LOVE them! Check out my Amazon Favorites page for more info!

Once the chicken is seasoned, add it to a pan over MEDIUM HIGH heat (flipping after about 4-5 minutes) & cook until the chicken is nice and brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Once the chicken is fully cooked, reduce the heat to LOW and pour in the garlic & honey mixture. Let it simmer for a 2-3 minutes and enjoy! Yes, it’s that easy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  • Mix the honey & garlic in a small bowl, set aside
  • Season the chicken with salt & pepper
  • Heat skillet to Medium High heat
  • Add chicken to pan in single layer, flip after 4-5 minutes
  • Continue to cook until chicken reaches internal temp of 165F
  • Pour honey garlic mixture into the pan, reduce heat & simmer for 2-3 minutes
  • Remove from heat and serve warm, adding sauce over top
