I absolutely love using my enameled cast iron dutch ovens for these one pot recipes. Any 5-6 quart dutch oven, stock pot, or large pot will work fine for this recipe. You do want something that is deep since you will be boiling a box of noodles, so I don’t recommend using a frying pan (even if it has sides).
If you don’t have an enameled cast iron dutch oven, I highly recommend getting one! We use these things for anything and everything we can when cooking! They’re so versatile and so easy to clean! Great for sauces, soups, pasta dishes, deep frying, and so much more! Amazon link below!

How to Make Cajun Sausage Pasta
Add sliced sausage to a large pot and cook over medium high heat until browned.
Add diced onion and cook for 3-5 minutes, until cooked.
Add minced garlic until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth and increase heat to medium high.
Add heavy cream, diced tomatoes, and seasonings.
Bring to boil.
Once boiling, pour in a box of pasta, cover, and reduce heat to medium low.
Let that simmer for 10-12 minutes (until noodles are cooked), stirring occasionally.
Once cooked, stir in shredded cheese and stir until melted and nicely combined.
Scoop into a bowl and enjoy!
This one pot cajun sausage pasta is one of those recipes that gets even better with time. Store in an air tight container and it will last up to 1 week in the fridge. Simply add to a bowl and heat up on the stove or in the microwave!
