Pineapple Fluff

This pineapple fluff is an unbelievable combination of sweet and salty. It is the perfect, light treat for a summer gathering!

I was absolutely stunned at how delicious this Pineapple Fluff is the first time I tried it. My family has been making the oh-so-popular Strawberry Pretzel Salad for as long as I can remember. That has always been one of my favorite desserts (especially in the summer time), but it is kind of a pain to make. You have to make each layer and let the layers cool before starting the next. It ends up taking hours to make, and who has that kind of time these days, right??

This Pineapple Fluff is the same idea.. same delicious cheese cake-y flavor mixed with the sweetness of the fruit and saltiness of the buttery pretzels. It is TO DIE FOR! My husband who “doesn’t like pineapple” even went back for seconds. The cream cheese & cool whip mixture is divine, but it’s the pretzel pieces that really make this dessert.

Ingredients

How to make Pineapple Fluff

  1. Mix together the crushed pretzel pieces with the sugar & melted butter. Spread the mixture evenly on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 F for 7 minutes.
  2. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese and additional sugar. Fold in Cool Whip & crushed pineapple.
  4. Stir in the pretzel pieces once you are ready to serve!
  5. Tip: Do not stir in the pretzels until ready to serve or they will get soggy.
