Red White and Blue Strawberries
Looking for a super easy but super delicious dessert recipe for Memorial Day? I’ve got you covered! These red white and blue strawberries are a fun dessert that can be made in less than 20 minutes.
These chocolate covered strawberries are the perfect dessert for Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July or any fun, summer get together! This is my absolute favorite time of year (living in Ohio) where the weather is getting warm and everyone is SO excited for summer and all of the fun celebrations that come along with nice weather. We are looking forward to birthday parties, potlucks, and of course, our patriotic holidays!
Our family truly enjoys hosting get-togethers at our home, and Memorial Day is right around the corner. We have a few go-to recipes that we like to make for get togethers, but these red white and blue strawberries will always make an appearance. They are so easy to make and are fun to make with the kids (if they like to help out in the kitchen)! You can make them ahead of time and keep them in the fridge overnight before serving which means no messy cleanup right before guests arrive (yay)!
Ingredients
Strawberries – I like to find the largest, reddest strawberries for looks
White & Blue Melting Chocolate – My FAVORITE are the Wilton Candy Melts (I get mine at Walmart). They melt the best in my opinion and stay melted longer so you aren’t constantly re-heating
Red White & Blue Sprinkles (optional)
Making Red White and Blue Strawberries
Add the white melting chocolate candies into a microwave safe bowl and melt according to package instructions
Dip each strawberry into the white chocolate covering about 2/3 of the strawberry. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and let set for 5 minutes (until chocolate hardens)
Add the blue melting chocolate candies into a microwave safe bowl and melt according to package instructions
Dip strawberries into blue chocolate to cover about 1/3 of the strawberry. If adding sprinkles, immediately dip into sprinkles before the chocolate dries
Place strawberries back onto parchment lined baking sheet and let them set until completely hardened.
These delicious, juicy chocolate covered strawberries and perfect for any patriotic holiday or summer get-together!

Notes
Tips:If enjoying the strawberries within 24 hours, you can leave them out on the counter in an airtight container. Otherwise, store in the fridge (they may start to “sweat” a bit in the cold)If you can’t find the blue chocolate melting candy, just add blue food coloring to the white once melted!
