Sausage Cream Cheese Dip

This Sausage Cream Cheese dip is easy, delicious, and uses just 3 ingredients. I have been making this recipe for years, and it is always one of the first dishes gone!

This is a spin on the famous Velveeta & Rotel dip that everyone knows and loves, but SO MUCH BETTER! The combination of sausage & cream cheese is unbeatable! The cheesy flavor mixed with the salty sausage and flavorful Rotel pair perfectly with tortilla chips. I bring this sausage cream cheese dip to just about every potluck, game day party, and get together I go to and almost always get asked for the recipe. I still get random texts from friends and coworkers from years ago who want to make it!

Sausage Cream Cheese Dip Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook 1 pound of ground sausage over medium-high heat until fully cooked. I like to get the sausage pretty brown for this recipe!
  2. Add the browned sausage, 12 oz cream cheese and 1 can of Rotel to a small slow cooker, like this one here from Amazon.
  3. Cook on low for about 2 hours, until the cream cheese is soft enough to stir.
  4. Mix together and enjoy with your favorite chips!

Don’t Have a Slow Cooker?

I typically use a slow cooker or Crock Pot for this recipe because I can throw it in and forget it until ready to eat, but you can absolutely make this in a skillet or in the oven! After browning the sausage, add the remaining ingredients (cream cheese & Rotel) into the skillet or oven safe dish and heat until you are able to mix.

This is truly one of my all time favorite recipes, and one that has been a go-to for years. It’s one of those “you have to try it” dips that you and your guests will fall in love with! Let me know if you try it!!
