Slow Cooker Crack Chicken Sliders
These delicious Slow Cooker Crack Chicken Sliders are warm, cheesy, and so easy to make! They are the perfect recipe for Super Bowl game day or a fun get together with friends and family.
These warm and gooey Crack Chicken Sliders remind me of the creamy shredded chicken sandwiches my mom used to make when I was young. I used to love coming inside after an evening of playing outside with my friends to find out we were having these sandwiches for dinner!
Ingredients:
This recipe uses just 5 simple and easy-to-find ingredients!
Chicken Breast – You can use any prepared chicken for this recipe. You can boil, pressure cook, use a slow cooker, or even use a rotisserie chicken from the store!
Cream Cheese – This ingredient is the star of the show in this recipe. The block of cream cheese adds the creamy texture and cheesy flavor that holds it all together. You can also use the low fat cream cheese blocks. I typically use whichever I have on hand.
Ranch Dressing Mix – The ranch dressing powder really gives the shredded chicken a bold flavor.
Shredded Cheese – I personally love adding shredded sharp cheddar to this recipe. I’m sure any shredded cheese would be fine, but the sharp cheese adds some extra flavor.
Bacon Crumbles – Any bacon will work for this recipe. I’ve used prepared thick cut bacon, pre-cooked bacon, and even bacon bits (if I’m feeling lazy). Real cooked bacon definitely tastes the best, but you can get away with any option!
Slider Buns – This Crack Chicken is delicious on any type of bun. Hawaiian rolls or small slider buns are my go to for get togethers. You can enjoy them for dinner with the family on regular sized buns also!
How to Make Crack Chicken Sliders:
I always make this recipe in the Crock Pot (it’s just easier to set it and forget it). You will add your chicken breast, cream cheese, and ranch seasoning into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours. Once the chicken is cooked (reached an internal temperature of 165F), shred the chicken and mix well with cream cheese & seasonings. Once the chicken is shredded, add your shredded cheddar cheese and bacon. Cook on low for an additional 30 minutes until everything is melted together. It should turn into a thick and creamy shredded chicken mixture.
Add chicken, cream cheese, & ranch seasoning to slow cooker
Cook on LOW for 4 hours, until chicken is cooked
Shred chicken in crock pot and mix with cream cheese
Add shredded cheddar and bacon crumbles
Cook another 30 minutes on LOW (or warm) until everything is melted & combined
Line a greased 9×13 dish with the bottom half of slider buns
Spread chicken mix evenly over buns
Add top of buns and brush with mixture of melted butter & garlic powder
Cover with foil and bake at 375F for 20 minutes
Uncover and bake for 5 additional minutes
Enjoy!
